Film, television were considered as narrative art when they were born, which developed in the advertisement of modern science and technology as modern art. The plot, characters, time and space background, theme of conceptual level, etc, which narrative often is made up of, form language works together with usage of special techniques of modern science and technology. And also these crucial elements stand as the core of narrative performance and the study of narrative. Yunnan is located in the southwest corner of China, whose geographical environment is so peculiar, with climate from frigid to tropical, a variety of three-dimensional topography, a long history and numerous nationalities. Beside these, Han ethnic minorities and other 25 minorities multiply and perch here. The multi-ethnic intersection creates a bright rich fusion of different cultural characteristics. Film works aimed at minority of livings performs as a unique kind of wonderful work in Chinese film.This paper is based on the theory of narrative. The narrative models of Yunnan Minority film works, which were developed since 1950’s of the 20th century, such as the political narrative, historical narrative, love-story narrative apt are analyzed, and the relationship between narrative model and reflecting the reality, the form and the content are also pointed out, which make our country perspective and stable. Meanwhile, such films developed after reform and opening, focus on the living conditions and psychology of Yunnan minority nationalities. Finally, the cultural bottleneck of the development of Yunnan Minority film works are analyzed as 4 points, and prospective consideration is also put forward.
