Shell structures have excellent mechanical characteristic and different forms so that they become a city, or even a national symbol. According to single hyperbolic parabolic shell its own characteristics and referencing to standards set the dimensions. Take the maple calculation software program to solve the shell structure coordinates of all nodes. The last, take the shell structure coordinates of all nodes into the Ansys finite element analysis software, achieve single hyperbolic parabolic shell of fast and accurate modeling. By comparing and analyzing shows that the use of such methods to establish shell structure models fully meets the requirements of the design and construction. While through the establishment of other forms of shell model proved that the method has the promotion and comprehensive.Consider the structural parameters such as the span ratio, the long-span ratio and the side of beam’s lateral stiffness, to the single hyperbolic parabolic shell static characteristics influence. Use least-squares fit the calculation formula of the shell’s ultimate loads, compare the results with the finite element results, to prove the formula has the advantages which the error is small and the calculation is simple, and the formula has good practical value.Use method of simulated shell which based on the moment theory research the mechanical characteristics of the single hyperbolic parabolic shell. First divide the mesh elements of the single hyperbolic parabolic shell into the cover elements and the pole elements, correct the pellicle stiffness of the structure. Second establish the shell structure of the basic differential equations. Third use method of simulated shell which based on the membrane theory get solved formula of internal forces of the shells, the formula as special solution of the basic differential equations of shell structure. Finally, solve the general solution of the basic differential equation of shell structure. With special solution of equation get the basic differential equations of single hyperbolic parabolic shell structure. To study the mechanical properties of the shell provide some theoretical basis.
