The establishment of the management system of spare parts matching the operation and maintenance of network and technique supporting is the basic assurance of the high quantity, credibility, efficiency and low network cost, and also an inevitable request to further enhance concentration maintenance and management of network. The information management system of Spare Parts (IMSSP) is the necessary means to realize management unification, classification storage, whole-network share and dispensation according to needs. IMSSP is built up to make available the browse and search of spare parts and the management authorization of staff through the center of spare parts of all local networks in DCN within province, the maintenance center and relevant management units. Connected into framework DCN, browse and search rights of preparing information and access to resource management system are given to relative units.Based on the popular technique of J2EE, IMSSP adopts three-layer B/S structure, deploying at the dual-engine backup server using the cluster technique. SOAP protocol is used to provide interfaces with IMSSP through FTP data interaction of spare parts. All these methods centralize the services at clients to provide the system with flexibility, expansibility, fault-tolerance, and load balance. The networking mode of provincial center is adopted to use telecom internal dedicated network as transmission platform to ensure the system reliability. The special requirements of the system are considered in the design of user interfaces, software modules, and database. Satisfying the technical needs of system advantage, high safety and reliability, availability of maintenances, maneuverability and enlargements, IMSSP becomes the stable and reliable real-time management system of spare pans which can be managed by all business units within province.After the background of system construction is introduced, the development of IMSSP of China Telecom and similar systems in china are discussed in this paper, just then the main characteristics and main works of this system are presented. After that, the total technological method of IMSSP is analysed from two aspects of need analysis, and technological method of project. The paper presents the system structure, networking, and the design of software modules, user interfaces and database. The key technologies in the system are also thefocuses in the paper. Finally, the testing method and the summary of the research work are given, as well as the technological suggestions to this project.
