Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM), by virtue of its high spectral efficiency and fast transmission speed , high transmission quality has become a hotspot of the development of modern communication technology . OFDM system involves many complex modules , and relatively simple arithmetic unit , but it is a digital signal processor core . The arithmetic unit has a very important impact on performance , area and power consumption of the chip . In this paper, the principle of OFDM system , analysis of OFDM systems involved in every major module , based on the analysis that the different needs of the various modules for computing modules . At the same time pointed out that a variety of complex arithmetic involved in the various modules to simplify basic operations - addition, subtraction, multiplication and division feasibility and concrete way . On the basis of this article is still on the analysis of the computing needs of the various modules , has raised the possibility of different modules between the computing module reuse and reuse way to accomplish this . A detailed description of particular basic arithmetic module in the multiplication module and division module . It can reduce system power consumption , area , improve system performance , thereby reducing the cost of the terminal system-on-chip . While improving operations also conform to the current trend of wireless communication handheld terminal miniaturization , low power consumption .
