MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output, MIMO) wireless communication system is a development direction , and also the next generation of mobile communications, an important research direction . MIMO technology can greatly improve the system 's channel capacity and spectrum utilization without increasing the transmit power systems broadband premise , . It can improve the reliability of the system as a MIMO system is one of the key technologies - space-time coding , to reduce the error rate of the system . Main space-time coding using a different transmission channel encoding of the branch road to increase the channel capacity , is a potential next generation communication technology . Space-time coding techniques including : Space Time Trellis Code BLAST and empty time block codes . In this paper, on the basis of the radio channel propagation model , first introduced a different model and channel capacity of MIMO system . Then analyzed the system model and design criteria for space-time coding , Space Time Trellis Code Layered Space-Time code and space-time block diagram of the block codes and the characteristics of the encoding and decoding algorithms conducted a detailed analysis . Finally, the performance of the various space-time coding scheme for simulation, and draw relevant conclusions .
