The SD Analysis of Organizations’ Knowledge Innovation

In knowledge economy age, knowledge resources have been the foundation of the modern economy, gradually replacing nature resources. And knowledge innovation has been the most significant approach to the development & competition preponderance of organizations. Knowledge innovation is a systemic activity, which is influenced by internal & external impetus and impediment factors. And System Dynamics (SD) is based on system theory and can use feedback theory to describe the framework of system. Through the simulation of computer we can research the non-linear, multi-feedback and long time delay system from a quantitative analysis view so as to analyze the influence of the decision factors. So SD provides us a new useful tool for exploring the approaches to improve the ability of knowledge innovation.Basing on the basic theory of knowledge management, knowledge innovation and SD, the dissertation begins with summarizing and analyzing the current research, and then we form the SD network integrated model of knowledge innovation. This model is composed of five modules, including conceiving, evaluating, researching & developing, commercializing and reflecting stage module of knowledge innovation. Basing on analyzing the influencing factors of knowledge innovation, we apply the system dynamics methods to explore the mutual influence and dependence relationship among them in every stage from the view of system, and then form the SD network integrated model. After that we also establish the flow diagrams and structure equations to simulate the process of knowledge innovation. The SD simulation value can help us to make right strategic decisions to promote the capability of knowledge innovation of organizations. The strategies involve encouraging enterprises to build up knowledge innovation consciousness, strengthening the alliance of university-industry-re search institute, improving the policy & rule system and services of agent organizations, etc.
