Interaction Design Frameworks Based on Online Shopping Website

This thesis aims at the interaction design for online shopping website and introduces one typical interaction design framework of shopping website by investigating a large number of shopping websites. This framework is built on the basis of interaction design to create effective, high-availability interaction design models. Literatures related with interaction design are reviewed and several related topics are involved, such as different types of shopping sites, consumer shopping behavior, interactive designs and its frameworks and usability theory are discussed.Firstly, it defines three common frameworks among shopping websites: catalogues navigation framework, registering framework, purchasing framework by using a“target-oriented design”theory. Catalog navigation framework is a query and retrieval system that provides a searching method on the shopping website. Registering framework attracts more website visitors to be a permanent user through a series of persuasive methods. Purchasing framework is established to help the buyer to purchase goods once he/she finds the particular goods he/she wants.Secondly, this paper introduces the interaction design framework based on using condition,task flow,all related elements and interaction design guidelines. All of these elements are different in each framework. Catalog navigation framework helps visitors check goods. Registering framework is for the visitors who need to create their own custom style. Purchasing framework is for users to pay for the goods after the interaction process. Catalog navigation framework is comprised of directory category pages, display pages, content pages and supportive links. Registering framework includes price statement, a call for action and registration form and so on. Purchasing framework contains shopping cart, order information, the evaluation system. This thesis provides some suggestions and guidelines for interaction design based on analysis of large amount cases.Finally, a new type of shopping website - grouped website design framework is studied. In addition, currently the group online shopping still has some problems especially for user personal experience in the interactive design process and this paper proposed an optimized framework.
