The intermediary business of the commercial banks, which does not exist in the commercial bank assets and liabilities balance sheet, may bring non-spread revenue for the bank’s business. In the international financial history, the intermediary business of the commercial banks, which has been 160 years of history, has developed rapidly in the past three decades. But in China, the banking, especially state-owned Banks, truly go on the commercial operation road until the end of last century, the development of the intermediary business is still in the primary stage. The economic and financial relationship between our country and the developed countries is deepened in the rapid development of the world economy, domestic commercial banks accelerate the pace of restructuring in transition, and competitive environment of the commercial banks is increasingly complex, the interest rate market first emerged, so it will be difficult to compete with international banks which rely solely on traditional spread income. To meet our customers personalized banking services and diversification needs while improving their ability to create value and market competitiveness, domestic banks must develop intermediary business.China construction bank as a large state-owned commercial bank, the main business operation is deposits, loans and transfer funds to achieve the main exchange before listing. Handan branch in Hebei province which is the second-level branch of the China Construction Bank , along with superior geographical environment and the vigorous development of the local economy, made great achievements step by step over the years. But since 2009, a large number of joint-stock commercial bank enter into Handan and become the most effective competitive means for banks to compete for market, so business development is re-shuffling the challengesThis paper describes the background of the intermediary business, and then introduces classification, characteristics and the future development trend of the intermediary business. This paper starts from the analysis of the development environment, the basic situation, the influence factors and the major issues of the personal intermediary business, then puts forward the business guiding ideology, development target and development strategy of the intermediary business of the Handan branch with the analysis of the concept localization, the development direction, marketing and brand strategy, channel development and system reform and system optimization. It hopes to be able to help resolve the bank in the development of individual personal when we encounter business and management issues, and also provides some useful references for other commercial bank in developing personal intermediary business.
