Quantitative evaluation model based on information entropy of the classroom observation

With the advance of the basic education’s reform, the various demands of course teaching and teaching evaluation put forward the requirements better. It is a major challenge and an opportunity for teachers and educational workers. This paper summarizes the evaluation of current teaching methods, in view of some of the problems exists, boldly put forward a new set of course observation scale, and in accordance with the scale goes on the research of the course observation based on information entropy. This article is organized by five chapters, of which the third, fourth, fifth are the main contents of the thesis research are also focused on the content.This paper proposes a new set of classroom observation scale based on the literature research and field investigation, in summary, the scale as follows: Behavior Observation Scale for teachers and students to observe the behavior scale, with separately on these two scales of course teachers and students to observe and record behavior. Then in accordance with the characteristics of subjects, as well as factors such as teaching experience in the course behavior of teachers and students in the classroom behavioral observation scale implementation of refinement, formulate a class of the target behavior. Following the development of scale, the information entropy is proposed based on quantitative evaluation of the classroom observation model, and it is the core. The dissertation study model analysis of data necessary to carry out the mathematical formula for calculating the list and demonstration to the back of the specific conduct practice analysis. Through the observation records of some university courses of Qujing , Guandu, with the data collection and the requirements of model dealing, the author do the analyze and compare the data.The results show that: (1) indeed, the scale is a reflection of the full course of classroom teaching, but also can reflect some of the classroom teaching the details; (2) comparing the information entropy with probability and statistics methods, the information entropy can be found that on the probability of Analysis of data was not obvious in the enlarged portion of detail for analysis and comparison, but the entropy can do and analyze the overall activity on the status of teaching evaluation.
