Study and Implementation on Human-computer Interaction Based on EoC System of NGB

The thesis illustrates the opportunities and challenges that the Radio and Television are facing, propose the roadmap and blueprint for the Triple Play. On this background, the paper analyzes and compares serveral NGB’s access network, such as CMTS + CM, EPON + LAN, EPON + EoC and FTTH. In conclusion, EPON and EoC system is the best solution for the NGB that can make best use of the Coaxial Cable in our nation. Currently, the standard of EoC is not unify, we select low-frequency EoC based on HomePlugAV standard as the best solution to suit China’s basic national conditions of active from the advantages and disadvantages of the various EoC technologys. Then the paper analyzes the way that the HFC transfer to EPON + EoC network architecture smoothly.Secondly, this thesis describes the procedure for developing EoC system, including hardware design, setting up cross-compiling enviroment, porting the Operation System and software design. In EoC system, two Human-interaction tools, Command Line Interface and Web, are implemented in this software design. Command Line Interface is the primary tool to administrate the EoC system. The CLI deltailing design includes the following modules, user authorization, authentication, command parsing, inter process communication.Command parsing module has an open architecture, and a unified management interface, and this framework is still able to add new commands as usual easily. The detailing Web design includes, choosing and porting Web server, web page design and CGI programming. Web interface is more convenient than CLI to administrate.At last, CLI and Web can run smoothly and achieve the intended functions through the tests of EoC system. This thesis summarizes the research, also proposes directions to improve the EoC system.
