ESPRIT Parameter Estimation Algorithm in Wideband Channel System

Wireless communication technology is developing rapidly in recent years, and it has opened up a new field in the world of communication. Wireless communication has gradually become the most major communication mode nowadays, and it is widely used in many fields. Before constructing the mobile wireless communication system, the propagation characteristics of radio channel should be researched first. In order to provide the detailed description of propagation characteristics, it is necessary to establish effective and accurate channel model, which correspondingly rely on the accurate channel parameters such as the angle of arrival, the delay of arrival and carrier frequency and so on. In order to obtain these channel parameters, it is need to collect the measurement data from a lot of measurement activities, and then to extract the related channel parameters from these complex measurement data, so the research of precise and efficient channel parameters extraction algorithm is so important.The main results in this thesis are as follows:(1) According to some characteristics of basic ESPRIT algorithm to do some improvement, then some improved ESPRIT algorithms could be acquired, such as TLS-ESPRIT algorithm, ESPRIT algorithm based on space smooth technology and ESPRIT algorithm based on time shift technology.(2) Adopt the basic ESPRIT algorithm, TLS-ESPRIT algorithm, ESPRIT algorithm based on space smooth technology to estimate the one-dimensional DOA; Adopt the rapid ESPRIT algorithm to estimate two-dimensional DOA; Adopt the basic ESPRIT algorithm and ESPRIT algorithm based on time shift technology to estimates the delay; Adopt the basic ESPRIT algorithm and TLS-ESPRIT algorithm to estimate carrier frequency offset. Through the MATLAB simulation software to realize the above simulation, then according to the simulation result to obtain various influence factors, and to compare performances of the all sorts of ESPRIT algorithm.
