Stone masonry arch is one of the excellent water conservancy dam type , save material , can take full advantage of the strength of the material , can make the best of the advantages , therefore , widely used in small and medium-sized water conservancy projects . In addition to the continued construction of the dam , the increase of years of service , along with the early construction of the arch dam reinforcement and repair some of the old dam also become water conservancy workers have a new topic , and reinforcing an old dam is sometimes more complicated than to build a new dam . This article describes the common form of the disease in the arch dam , elaborate common arch dam structure analysis method : pure arch Law , crown cantilever method , finite element method . With large general-purpose finite element software ANSYS calculated before and after reinforcement of the Changling reservoir masonry arch dam stress , displacement , and dynamic characteristics of the structure ( frequencies and mode shapes ) , through a comparative analysis of the calculation results reinforcement effect . Arch dam structure calculation of the arch dam structure reinforcement and later reference . The main contents of this article , summed up in the following aspects: 1 . Introduce the the principle its advantages and disadvantages of the traditional method and finite element method calculation of arch dam structure calculations using the finite element method . 2 . Use of large finite element software (ANSYS) analog Changling reservoir masonry arch dam , and analysis of multiple conditions pre - reinforced masonry arch dam stress and displacement conditions . 3 according to the proposed stone masonry arch reinforcement program , and the use of the finite element method to calculate the stress and displacement conditions of reinforced masonry arch dam , the reinforcement effect of the comparative analysis of the program . The contrast calculated before and after reinforcement structure dynamic characteristics ( modal analysis ) , to provide a reference for the dynamic analysis of the structure and structural reinforcement .
