Fruit Quality Investigation of ’Fuji’ Apple in the Main Apple Production Area in Western Liaoning Province

The main producing areas of western Liaoning is China's development of the Big Apple to produce the first one of the traditional growing areas, is an important part of the area of ??the Apple advantage of the Bohai Bay in China, but its share of the market share and influence is less than the Liaodong Peninsula, Shandong Peninsula and the northwest Loess Plateau producing areas, the apple quality problems is a major bottleneck for the sustainable and healthy development of the producing areas of the apple industry. In this study, the main producing areas of western Liaoning Fuji Apple test materials, orchard survey, sampling and testing and statistical analysis methods to analyze the quality of the status quo in the main producing areas of western Liaoning Fuji apples, the problem and the main influencing factors, and propose appropriate measures and recommendations. The main findings are as follows: the appearance quality of the apple samples meet the basic requirements of the \quality total pass rate of 72.5%, higher than the country's overall level of which fruit firmness 7.38 ± 0.400N/cm2 pass rate of 82.5%; soluble solids content of 14.1 ± 1.08%, a pass rate of 90%; total amount of acid 0.33 ± 0.062% , with a pass rate of 87.5%. Sanitary quality of the total pass rate of 95%, four kinds of harmful elements such as lead, cadmium, inorganic arsenic, total mercury detection, the detection rate was 100%, which lead content 0.026 ± 0.0257mg/kg, the two samples exceeded exceeded the rate of 5%; detection of pesticide residues of 30 kinds of commonly used pesticides, which, carbendazim, dimethoate, DDT, chlorothalonil, chlorpyrifos, cyhalothrin, BHC, dichlorvos, fenvalerate, triadimefon 10 pesticides detected, no pesticide residues exceeding the samples. The producing areas the average annual rainfall is 550 ~ 650 nm, mainly in late August to mid-September, the water supply is uneven; orchard terrain in the mountains, slopes, mountain and slope orchard of 90%, 75% The orchard soil depth of less than 1.0 m, 65% of orchards the soil texture partial sand, retain water and nutrients poor performance; orchard soil management to clean tillage, 55 percent of the orchard quantity of organic fertilizer is insufficient 3000kg/667 m2 roots dressing exist bias applied nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium fertilizer shortage; 60% of Fuji apple orchard irrigation is not timely, inadequate water supply problems. The orchard site conditions, lack of fertilizer and water supply, load capacity, fruit bagging, harvested in advance that the main factors affecting the producing areas of Fuji apple appearance and physical and chemical quality. The producing areas of Fuji apple production mainly to small-scale, family-run, 5 acres of cultivated area (667 m2) and following orchards accounted for 42.5%, 37.5% of 5 to 10 acres of orchards, orchard of 10 acres and above accounted for 20 %; annual output of 10 tons and the following orchards 27.5%, 47.5% of 10 to 20 tons of orchards, the orchard 20 tons and above accounted for 25%. Western Liaoning Province did not scale apple storage and processing enterprises, apple producers own storage facilities and limited, Apple sales mainly traders into the park acquisition, grading and pricing mechanism is imperfect. Most of farmer cooperatives in the initial stages of development, market players are not prominent. Production of small-scale, decentralized operation, low degree of organization, but also affect the quality of the main factors of the producing areas of Fuji apple.
