Research on the Leadership Role of the Head Teachers in Senior Middle School

High school education is the highest stage, responsible to transport the qualified citizens and bring up students for university. The head teacher plays a leading role in the overall development of senior school students. Then what role they should play and what kind of head teacher can acclimate the times to meet the needs of comprehensive development in the process of high school stage? And my research is just around the topic.This study is divided into five sections : the first part of the research.: The background, the goal and meaning of the research; The determination of the concepts; literature review; the train of thoughts and the methods of research..The second part of the research: The characteristics of high school students to investigate their qualities. The research findings indicate that the present problems of high school students are:moral indifference, cold and dim moral responsibility , free for labor, egocentricity, busy but lost in direction, and afraid of loneliness.The third part for the current role played by head teacher in high school,the results indicate such trend as follows:single personal role in teaching,narrow role-play, ignorance of the moral education,too much attention on the marks of examination, Theory is not based on reality, and eager for instant success and quick profits.The fourth part is based on the above No2and No 3 parts. According to the basis of relevant documents and combine theory with the realities found above,I think a new high school head teacher’s leadership should be like this: the transmission role of moral education and responsibility; The leading role of“The learning Class "; The protector and love-giver and the role of coordinator.The fifth part of this research concludes the weaknesses of my study and expresses the depth of my sincere thanks for those who guide me, help me and encourage me.
