Nowadays, energy shortage, environmental pollution is serious in the world. People are increasingly demanding on tankers.Not only meeting the requirements of the safe using in complex conditions of tankers,but also having environmental protection、emission reduction and reducing use of cost, lightweight design for tankers becomes more and more urgently.Using of new technologies, new methods and new materials are the main way to improve product competitiveness. CAE technology not only can shorten product development cycles, reduce development costs, it can effectively improve product quality, that is effective protection for competition of the product in the market.Through using UG to establish the three-dimensional model for aluminum tank semi-trailer and MD Nastran to analyse its strength、stiffness, obtained various performance parameters for the aluminum tank semi-trailer .In order to reduce the quality, the frame has been studied with topology optimization, the original tanker has been designed with size optimization . Then, the results of optimization analysis demonstrated that the structural optimization of the aluminum tank semi-trailer is feasible and effective. Through analysis and calculation, we got the reasonable distance from semi-trailer coupling pin to the rear axle center of the frame. All above provide a basis for further research for aluminum tank semi-trailer.
