An Investigation on School-based Research and Training in Junior Middle Schools

The results in hand show, School-based Research and Training is, more than often, regarded by common researchers as one of the most important approaches to Teachers’Professional Development when they start about the research topic. Therefore, their research seldom goes to the heart, which is, the effectiveness of School-based Research and Training. Most researchers pay attention to the theories, general theories. However, this paper attempts to eye the practice, fixed on the topic among English teachers in Junior Middle Schools. Through the investigation of School-based Research and Training in Junior Middle Schools, the author tries to know the attitude of the group of the teachers to the system, the measures, the contents, the implementation, and the evaluation of the School-based Research and Training, their demand of professional development and the difficulties they are facing. Based on the analysis of data, the investigator intends to offer proposals to promote the effectiveness of School-based Research and Training with the help of the Theories of Learning Community, PCK and Classification of Learning. The result in the paper can be reference to the government, the Colleges of Teachers’Training and the Junior Middle Schools.
