Passive Optical Network (PON) to break the traditional point solutions, and the application of the passive node, reducing the laying and operation and maintenance costs, easy to upgrade. With an ATM passive optical network (APON) and Ethernet Passive Optical Network (EPON) phase Bijibite passive optical network (GPON), with high efficiency, high bandwidth utilization, to support transparent multi-service transport, to ensure a clear service quality, carrier-grade networks for effective monitoring, etc., there are broad prospects for development. Because of GPON optical network terminal (ONT) deployment close to the user, and the sites scattered in large quantities, on-site maintenance difficulties, operation and maintenance costs are high, so as to provide an effective GPON network terminal remote management system is particularly important. Considering the system development, management costs, technology maturity and network deployment and other factors, this paper choose ONT management control interface (OMCI) management framework is designed and implemented a terminal management system. This paper work and reads as follows: 1. Analysis GPON system architecture, control and management plane, OMCI protocol, this GPON system hardware platforms and software architectures are described. This combined with the structure and characteristics of GPON system proposed GPON terminal management system's overall design, including system block diagram and data processing. (2) According to the system requirements, design and implementation of OMCI Management Information Base (MIB). Based on the database stable, fast and compatibility requirements and the characteristics of embedded Linux systems, this paper select the embedded MySQL relational database management system developed the OMCI MIB database. OMCI message data based on structural characteristics, the design of the MIB data sheet; and uses the MySQL C interface functions to achieve the database to create, delete, query, and modify the function of the database interface. 3. The detailed design of the OLT and the ONT side terminal management system software and process structures and various data processing sub-modules and embedded Linux system completed a terminal management system program development. Specifically including OLT manages the registration and processing mode command design; OMCI messages and interact retransmission timeout mechanism to achieve; configuration, performance and alarm management functions to achieve the three. 4 for GPON terminal management system functions to be tested. In the development of the prototype running on GPON terminal management procedures, through the OLT device control terminal input command to verify the system configuration, performance, alarm three management functions, the realization of the ONT remote management and maintenance.
