Aanlysis of Major Agronomic Traits in Different Soybeans Cultivars

In order to invetigate the the relationship among different kinds of agronomic traits of soybean, numerous studies have already performed for decades in breeding fields. However, the contribution of ontogeny of soybean cultivars is still poorly understood, we try to address this question through analysis the major agronomic traits during individul soybean plant development. Thirteen representative soybean cultivars were selected to study the interrelationship among different agronomic traits of individual soybean plants. A relevant statistics analysis was established by SPSS and other softwares, which might facilitate futher genetic study of soybean breeding.The main results are bellow:1.Key agronomic traits of 13 soybean cultivars grown in greenhouse were measured. The result shows that trendcy of plant height and seeds weight per plant of different types of growth hait was indeterminate type > sub-indeterminate type > determinate type; the changes of pod bearing number and pods per plant were samilar among different types of growth haits, Thirteen cultivars have no big differences of period of growth except Jilin 35 which has shorter growth period. Correlation and variance analysis of thirteen cultivars showed that number of branches was significantly positive correlation with pod bearing number, and pod bearing number was significantly positive correlation with pod number per plant. Correlation analysis of above measurements of three representative soybean varieties for quality traits from greenhouse showed that 100-grain weight was significantly positive correlation with bottom pod height,plant height, nodes of stem; eraly period of growth was significantly positive correlation with the entire growth period; 100-grain weight was significantly negative correlation with seed number per plant.2. Key agronomic traits of 13 soybean cultivars grown on field were also measured. Our results indicated that trendcy of the plant height of different type of growth hait was indeterminate type > sub-indeterminate type >determinate type. Correlation and variance analysis of above thirteen soybean varieties from field showed that 100-grain weight was positive correlation with stem diameter, seeds weight per plant; stem diameter was positive correlation with seeds weight per plant. Measurements of three representative soybean varieties for quality traits from field showed that seed weight per plant decreased from He dou12, to Zhonghuang 42, thento Jilin 35. Some agronomic traits of Zhonghuang 42 were higher than He dou12, such as bottom pod height, first flowering time, podding time, seed number per pod, early growth period, late growth period, entire growth period and 100-grain weight. Correlation analysis of above measurements of three soybean varieties from field showed that most of important agronomic traits were significantly positive correlation.3.We measured the fat and protein contents of seeds in different nodes of He dou12, Zhonghuang 42 and Jilin 35. The results indicated that both fat and protein contents of seeds from different nodes had significant differences, intermediate part of fat content of zhonghuang42 and jilin35 was higher than the bottom and top parts. The fat content of hedou12 changed likes a wavy line, which may respond to the spatial distribution of branches o. The protein content showed a negative relation with fat from different nod of all three cultivars.4.Rapid nodetruvtive methods of fat content measurement were also studied. We analyzed seed fat contents of 5 soybean cultivars by three different methods. The NIRS method gave a higher measured values than both Soxhlet method and NMR method,while NMR method gave the lowest values among these three methods. NMR data closely tallied with Soxhlet method’s, the deviation between them was less than 0.95%, and the minimum deviation was only -0.02%. NIRSmethod showed higher deviation from Soxhlet method than NMR’s in this study.
