The modern society has entered into an omnimedia age. Omnimedia technology has an increasingly profound influence on the current ideological and political teaching at colleges and universities. On the one hand, it poses a serious challenge to the ideological and political work in the higher education campus, which makes this work operates in a more complex environment, threatening the authority of the main body of ideological and political teaching and impacting the effect of ideological and political work. On the other hand, the omnimedia technology has brought a rare opportunity to the progress of college ideological and political education. Therefore, how to take advantage of the omnimedia technology to research the ideological and political work innovatively is propitious to solve the tough problems in the ideological and political work in university. The thesis tries to probe this problem in this aspect.This thesis is divided into five parts. The first part is introduction. It expounds the background of this topic and the significance of the research. It also summarizes and comments some domestic interrelated research at the present time and puts forward the main content and research approaches of this thesis.The second part starts with the definition of "omnimedia", describing the characteristics of omnimedia era and its influence on social development, analysing the currently facing problems in ideological and political work in college and university, and then discusses the possibilities of using omnimedia to renovate the university ideological and political work.The third part discourses the new ideas of ideological and political work. It takes the culture of college students’ media literacy as the main entry point and discusses the importance of media literacy education in ideological and political work in college and university. It indicates the content of media literacy education is the substance innovation of university ideological and political work. And Media criticism education, media credibility education and media ability are effective ways to guide the college and university students to establish correct values. The forth part mainly discusses ways and means of innovation of college ideological and political work. This article gives new idea that making use of omnimedia technology to realize the creation of ideological and political work. What’s more, it puts forward the means of taking use of Internet, mobile phone, television, broadcasting, microblogging as the new vehicle of ideological and political work to enrich the form, promote the actual effect and enforce the pertinence of the ideological and political teaching at colleges and universitiesThe fifth part delves that how to promote the pertinence and validity of ideological and political teaching in college students through the establishment of effective mechanism. It provides a mechanism that combining on--line assessment and off-the-net assessment, taking the process evaluation as a main means and linking the self evaluation and mutual evaluation. It also produces a new view that broadening the vision of ideological and political work from campus to society, family and other fields to form a campus-family connection mechanism, a campus-social joint-action mechanism and a intramural cooperate mechanism.
