Distance exists in all aspects of people's lives. Can mean both separated in space or time, can also refer to the gap in cognitive, emotional and other aspects; spatial distance can also be a psychological distance. Spatial distance is tangible, both large to infinity, can also be small to the extreme, but no matter big or small, can all be calculated. The psychological distance is invisible, so mysterious and complex. In the mass media, the psychological distance exists in the communicators and the audience, communicators and reflect the object, different audiences and many other aspects, psychological distance is constructed to pass by the relationship between the foundation and core. In this article, mainly in the audience as the center, the main line to the changing human communication, from a biased point of view of the media time and space research, dig generated from the mass media to start until today, with the development of communication activities psychological distance variation and future trends, as well as through the history of human communication change communication activities on different groups in the same social psychological distance. The psychological distance to be discussed in this article is in the process of mass communication, communicators and audiences differences in cognition, emotion and attitude. These three factors is formed and the reason for the existence of psychological distance. In the mass communication system, the psychological distance is not the only concept of distance, including temporal distance, spatial distance and social distance them with psychological distance with the presence in the system of mass communication, interaction between the four contact with each other.
