China’s per capita water resources is less than the world average of 1/4. The water environment has been severely affected by human activities, with the acceleration of urbanization and rapid development of economics. Unreasonable use of water resources, discharge of living and production sewage, water pollution, eutrophication and other events are endless. They not only seriously affected the livelihood and production of farmers, but also brought enormous pressure to rural construction and ecological environment protection.Water resource is a basic guarantee for rural sustainable development. Eco-village is an important direction for new countryside construction. Carrying out bearing capacity research for eco-village water environment has important theoretical and practical significance to promote the new rural construction.This paper is supported by my tutor’s project of research group, which is one of national scientific and technological plans. This paper had done the following research.This paper describes the development of domestic and international water environment carrying capacity, cleared the water environment carrying capacity of Eco-village in the content, methods and technical routes.According to eco-villages creating standard of state-level and related standards, the paper built a structure model of water environmental carrying capacity including two sub-systems, which were supportive system of water environment and pressure system of water environment. The former one was made up of water supply sub-system, drainage sub-system, precipitation sub-system and ecological water-holding sub-system; the later one was made up of population sub-system and economic sub-system. On the basis of the above mentioned, the thesis identified evaluation criteria of the various sub-indices and then established the corresponding index evaluation model. Choosing Yanhe ecological village in Wushan town, Gucheng County as the study case, the paper validated the model of water environmental carrying capacity. Used the model to gain the results of compositive evaluation index, then identified the key impact indicators, proposed the improving recommendations and measures, and at last completed the A~2/O design of water treatment engineering to lift the water environmental carrying capacity in Yanhe village.
