A Study on the Progress Management of Wuhan-guangzhou Passenger Dedicated Line

This article takes Wuhan-Guangzhou Passenger Dedicated Line, the most representative public facility in recent years, as the object for study in respect of construction management. It elaborates the progress management of Wuhan-Guangzhou Passenger Dedicated Line under the new mode of public project. It has analyzed many aspects of the project such as the scheduling, responsibility control, progress influential factors, the progress management optimization, and has subsequently found out the major problems for large-scale public project management and figured out how to conduct remote control, monitor and analyze the large-scale public projects by using network technology, which is developing day by day. In this way, the conventional progress management workflow can be simplified, the management efficiency can be improved. As a result, the large-scale public project, which consumes a huge cost, can be completed and put into use on time, or even earlier than schedule.The analysis about the progress management of Wuhan-Guangzhou Passenger Dedicated Line provides experiences for progress management for other large-scale public projects, particularly the railway projects, no matter whether they are under construction or will be constructed.
