Gateway is a high-speed train train train network connection communication bus MVB (Multifunction Vehicle Bus ) and WTB ( Wired Train Bus ) devices to achieve the train network data transfer across the bus , we can see the gateway in the train network is very important device. To ensure correct data transfer across the bus , you need to have a high gateway reliability and stability . Gateways described in this article contains three sub-devices , a need for a high reliability backplane bus gateway three child devices connected. VME bus is a universal computer bus , after 20 years of development , VME bus system has been very sound, the development of products based on the VME bus has been widely applied to industrial control , aerospace, military systems , transportation and medical systems field , use the VME bus backplane bus as the gateway , the gateway can increase the stability of the train . This paper describes the train gateway architecture , on this basis, combined with the VME bus protocol analysis system functional requirements , the VME bus using FPGA logic control . The main thesis work includes various sub- modules and VME bus interface hardware and software design and implementation. Since the main function of the gateway forwards the data , and to achieve this function also need to interrupt the operation, so the main task of the hardware interface design on the VME bus data transfer bus (DTB), priority interrupt bus and the common bus signal . According to the VME bus drive capability of different signals to different requirements for the use of the signal line , the electrical characteristics in accordance with the agreement to complete the driver circuit design. Achieve the VME bus control logic of the FPGA is Altera's cyclone series chip, software design divided into the main design, the master device internal FPGA module includes local bus cycle , VME bus cycle , data cache FIFO, interrupt handling module, and timer module and so on. From the device internal FPGA module includes local bus cycle , VME bus cycle , the interrupt request module , and timer module. All of the above modules are in accordance with the provisions of the VME bus protocol timing work . TCN Gateway VME bus for high-speed trains have been completed , with a variety of MVB, WTB equipment interconnection project passed the acceptance . Gateway stable , reliable performance , the indicators are to meet the requirements .
