Lightning monitoring and early warning systems in power , defense security, forestry , energy security, aviation, aerospace, communications and information , public safety and meteorological sectors play a key role in this context and laboratory -based projects related requirements , this article focuses analysis of the high occurrence of lightning electromagnetic pulse radiation characteristics of the band , in this based on the lightning detection system design and implementation. In order to design excellent performance , high efficiency , low amount of redundant data , the hardware resources of the lightning signal occupy less real-time detection unit , it is necessary to complete the process of lightning electromagnetic pulse characteristics for further analysis. Firstly, the high frequency lightning signal design continuous acquisition system, short-term energy analysis lightning signal statistical properties , the original lightning impulse radiation characteristics , thus the statistics of the occurrence of lightning frequency , duration, and pulse irradiation size and so on. Lightning detection stations to select the hardware design of the system resource allocation model ﹑ ﹑ ﹑ cache size, data processing speed and data transfer rate , and so provide practical guidance based . This paper mainly for high frequency lightning detection digital processing unit design, including simulation data reception , the array channel consistency calibration , high speed data acquisition, digital down conversion, lightning signal detection and multi- class data integration framing ﹑ ﹑ transmission functions to achieve . Meanwhile , the focus of the MUSIC algorithm and phase interferometer algorithm to estimate the signal wave direction the system requirements and resource consumption. In -depth understanding of the FPGA and DSP FPGA and SDRAM ﹑ ﹑ FPGA hardware interface with various features PCI9054 etc. After the data transmission module division and functional verification , in the use of QUARTUS be achieved, for each module in detail the logical design and the analysis shows , and with the completion of the relevant simulation tools as well as the various modules of the system functional simulation and verification, to meet the design 's overall requirements. Finally, the actual hardware environment designed system for testing , experimental results show that the design according to this method can locate the signal wave direction , to determine the spatial position of its occurrence can be further applications and lightning detection system, the actual systems.
