In this paper, under the framework of rhetorical structure theory , the use of rhetorical structure established relationship RSTTool345 tree . Through comparative study of Chinese environmental class news discourse rhetorical relations , this paper attempts to identify the similarities and differences between the two and analyze possible reasons. The following is a paper three research questions : 1 ) Chinese environmental news discourse on discourse structure similarities and differences ? 2 ) in the use of rhetorical relations have focused on whether each ? Focus is on what ? 3 ) caused by the use of rhetorical relations exist What are the factors focuses difference ? articles are selected from the English mainstream newspapers and magazines and media news reports . Selection of the time , genre and file size have similar and correspondence to ensure the reliability of results . Aspects of this study excerpt corpus , the English corpus mainly from USA Today , Washington Post , BBC, The Guardian , The New York Times , The Independent and Reuters , Chinese corpus mainly from the \By analyzing the authors found , first class news discourse in English environment rhetorical use of structural relationships and Chinese environmental classes have no news discourse . And no one article contains all the rhetorical structure relationship . Through analysis, the authors found that in England Environment class news discourse in the use of rhetorical relations tendentious difference . Not every relationship will appear in these rhetorical discourse . English environment in ten categories news discourse , elaborated -18.75 % -13.19 % unintended outcomes , the United -11.11 % -9.72 % for the background of the five highest rates rhetorical relations . In Chinese news discourse , the highest five were: explanation -31.87 % -19.78 % cited to explain -14.29 % -14.29% background , concessions , demonstration -3.85 % . Overall, the selected environmental class English News Discourse on the similarities and differences between the use of rhetorical relations coexist . With the integration of the world progresses, the language also developing . Chinese environmental class news discourse structure differences may gradually shrinking. Therefore, researchers should look at the development of comparative rhetoric .
