Many teachers , researchers and linguists that the hearing in the primacy of language learning . Communicative competence in the development process, before the development of listening skills to read and write . However, listening class is often taught in English learning and difficulty , but also requires a high teacher teaching skills . As an English teacher , our primary mission is to improve students' listening ability can identify effective strategies . As information technology and multimedia technology , many teachers try to use the original video to stimulate students' motivation . In this paper, theories of motivation , second language acquisition theory and affective filter input guided by the theory , the use of English listening teaching film studies carried out with a view of vocational English Listening Teaching help. This empirical study attempts to answer the following questions : 1. Compared with traditional textbooks , whether the carrier film as a language better able to stimulate students ' motivation ? 2 . Whether through film in teaching listening teaching than the use of materials to achieve better results ? 3 students whether the use of film in teaching listening positive attitude ? motivate students to study film at the motivation and the use of film in teaching listening parties and the effect , the researchers from February to July in 2011, conducted a teaching experiment experiment lasted for almost one semester , chose Hunan Mass Media Vocational Technical College non-English Majors of two classes of 83 students as research subjects , divided into experimental classes and control classes , the use of different language teaching material carrier . Experimental class is acceptable carrier material of the film is the language listening class , and the control class is acceptable carrier hearing the language textbook lesson . Experimental class classroom activities by the investigator based on the design characteristics of the film , while the control class is based on textbooks organize teaching activities. In this study, three questionnaires and two hearing tests to collect data , and using SPSS 17.0 on the test data were analyzed . The results showed that the carrier film as a language better able to stimulate students' motivation to learn ; through films for English listening teaching than using traditional materials can achieve better teaching results ; and students on the use of film in teaching listening is also positive.
