Study on Formula and Preparation Technology of High Precision Boron/Barium Chromate Delay Composition

In this paper, the formula designing and technology of high precision Boron/Barium Chromate delay composition were studied. Firstly, in theoretically, the stoichiometric composition of the ignition allocated proportion is 4/96(wt%), based of the formula, eight formulas were chosen, which were 2/98, 3/97, 4/96, 6/94, 8/92, 10/90, 12/88 and 14/86; secondly, in comparison with Mechanical hybrid method, Liquid suspension method and co-precipitation, the co-precipitation was chosen as technology of making high precision Boron/Barium Chromate delay composition; There were many factors to influence co-precipitation, such as PH range, stirring rate, reaction temperature and so on, so, the technology was optimized by orthogonal test to obtain optimum technology, which were 200r/min of stirring rate,5 of PH range,1.023 ml/min of dorp of acceleration, and 60℃of reaction temperature; At last, Boron/Barium Chromate delay composition of eight formulas were preparated by optimum technology. On the basis of the above mentioned experiments, several formula were chosen to analysis of component by X-Ray Diffractomer; Increases along with the content B powder, stacking density,how were changed above burning rate in 10℃temperature, impact sensitivity, friction sensitivity and flame sensitivity of Boron/Barium Chromate delay composition; The delay composition of delay longest time was chosen, which was tested in high and low temperature environment to compared with burning rate in 10℃environment. Through the tests, some useful conclusions were as follows:(1)In 10℃environment, burning rate of formula of 14/86 was fastest; 4/96 was slowest; 2/98 was not ignited;3/97 was ignited, but not burned away; In particular, the delay precision Boron/Barium Chromate delay composition were higher, which were in 5%.(2)With the increasing content B powder, impact sensitivity, friction sensitivity and flame sensitivity of Boron/Barium Chromate delay composition were higher.(3) Increases along with the content B powder, stacking density of Boron/Barium Chromate delay composition was bigger and bigger. (4) From the analysis of the results of X-Ray Diffractomer, except that B and Barium Chromate, there were barium chloride, sodium bi-chromate and sodium chloride in Boron/Barium Chromate delay composition making by co-precipitation.(5) Compared with that in 10℃environment,the burning rate of formula for 4/96 was higher obviously in high temperature 50℃,burning rate of the formula was not changes basicly in low temperature -15℃.
