Visualization technology in recent years, an emerging technology , as a basis for development of virtual reality technology in recent years is widely used in all aspects of this study of the virtual campus roaming system , building on the part of the campus landscape model on the basis of various forms of virtual roaming round experience campus life , and establish a virtual campus humane . In this paper, the virtual reality technology , Hebei Tourism Vocational School as a model , using OpenGl with the VC program , to develop a virtual campus roaming system to achieve a the campus scene real-time roaming and interactive features . Terrain order to make the system more realistic , the application of the system of digital elevation model (DEM) to achieve a three-dimensional terrain visualization algorithm introduces a level of detail (LOD) , the application of three-dimensional terrain quadtree - based structure of multi-resolution LOD terrain . As a three-dimensional terrain texture by loading orthophoto maps , build a vivid , lifelike 3D terrain . The system design using a collision detection algorithm by comparing 8 -DOP bounding box (OBB ) axis aligned bounding box (AABB) , surrounded by a sphere of several body algorithm , the system to be released on the network and run Therefore, the most critical is to consider a test of speed and memory footprint , and finally adopted a sphere bounding volume algorithm , and using iterative modified bounding sphere , the minimum bounding sphere . Using perspective projection mode roaming , automatic roaming , and roaming acceleration , deceleration and vision adjustment control , the premise of the application crash tested free technology , three-dimensional interactive technology and perspective projection mode to achieve complete and improvement of the system of automatic roaming , interactive roaming free path . The paper also raises the shortcomings in the current system , but also the work of the next prospect .
