The Multi-static High-frequency Over-the-horizon Ground Wave Radar is an offshore use, multistation, high-frequency over-the-horizon ground wave radar which is used to detecting ships objectives compatible with aircraft objectives. The Multi-static High-frequency Over-the-horizon Ground Wave Radar can detect and trace the ships and the air planes beyond visual range within a large scope in real-time.The Host Control software is the hardcore of Multi-static High-frequency Over-the-horizon Ground Wave Radar development, which is applicable to fixed station as well as moving station. Its main task is to accomplish control and management, running and scheduling, data interactive to all hardware equipment except air wire and the display workstation. Also it provides debugging, testing and controlling platform to all hardware equipment in this system.The Host Control software is mainly composed of signal processing module, ICS-554 control module, ICS-564 control module, time sequence generator control module, GPS control module and transmitter control module. They are constructed on their respective hardware device drivers as well as the Host Control software, but with higher levels of integration which can provide the best function of call to system control software rather than to call control register and hardware. The Host Control software is used to control DSP, control the communications between the DSP and the Host Control computer, control the ICS-554 digital receiver, control the ICS-564 devices to encourage a signal, control the time sequence generator, control network between the Host Control computer and the Central Host, control the transmitter. The realization of all various modules makes the radar system works in order in accordance with the radar system time sequence requirements. The programming model of Host Control software is Windows application of multi-form patterns, and the direct way to control hardware is DLL(dynamic link library) program , it maintains the relative independence of each module and takes into account the Object-oriented organizational structure of code so that makes the code manageable and the interface flexible.This paper based on the Multi-static High-frequency Over-the-horizon Ground Wave Radar and describes the component and function of the Multi-static High-frequency Over-the-horizon Ground Wave Radar, and on this basis, introducts the component and function of the Host Control software and realizes the control of all system module. In the finally, the paper gives the result of current system integration.
