Personality traits, self-efficacy and job burnout are important factors influencing the organizational behaviors of individuals. In this thesis, we mainly investigated the relationships between the grass-root officers’ big-five personality, self-efficacy and job burnout in the CAPF (Chinese Armed Police Force). Besides, we made fairly detailed analyses concerning the effect of the demographic variables on the above three aspects. In addition, we also put forward some practical suggestions in this regard.Based on literature review, this study mainly employed the method of questionnaire surveys concerning 306 grass-root officers in the Armed Police Force of Hunan Province. Through data analyses and result discussion, a conclusion can be drawn as follows:(1)There are notable differences regarding big-five personality, self-efficacy and job burnout because of demographic variables such as duration of military service, positions, education backgrounds, ranks, and awarding experiences.(2)The grass-root officers’ neuroticism, extraversion, conscientiousness and agreeableness in big-five personality are significantly related with job burnout. (3)The grass-root officers’neuroticism, extraversion, conscientiousness and agreeableness in big-five personality are significantly related with self-efficacy.(4)The grass-root officers’ self-efficacy and its dimensions of morals sense efficacy and regulatory efficacy had significantly negative correlation with job burnout and its dimensions of emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and low sense of accomplishment.(5)Job burnout was well predicted by the grass-root officers’ neuroticism, agreeableness and conscientiousness in big-five personality.(6)Self-efficacy and its dimensions of morals sense efficacy, regulatory efficacy were well predicted by the grass-root officers’ neuroticism and agreeableness in big-five personality.(7)Job burnout and its dimensions of emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and low sense of accomplishment were well predicted by the grass-root officers’self-efficacy and its dimensions of morals sense efficacy and regulatory efficacy.(8) The grass-root officers’neuroticism, agreeableness in big-five personality and self-efficacy could jointly predict job burnout.(9)Self-efficacy worked as an un-complete mediator between big-five personality and job burnout.(10)Big-Five personality could also directly or indirectly influence job burnout.
