Adaptive behavior of migrant children schools

Migrant children’s school-adjustment problem is an inevitable problem in China’s economic and social transition in education. Attention and cope with the migrant school children’s adaptation to school liquidity issue is not only the objective of building a socialist harmonious society demands, but also to promote the balanced development of compulsory education, to be an actual needs to improve the quality and level of compulsory education.Migrant children is the primary school age children of 6-14 years old with their parents, relatives or other guardians to leave the domicile,or not living in the household registration now. there are still a large part of migrant children choose to go to the migrant-workers-children schools.In this study, I mainly used questionnaire method, supplemented with interviews method, selected all of the migrant children in the A type of primary school and the B type of primary school in Beijing as the research study. Through comparing with the school-adaption-behavior of migrant children in the two types schools,understanding the social function level and characteristics of the migrant children’s school-adaption-behavior of two types schools,reveal the causes of them and propose the solution.In this study, by the questionnaire survey to the migrant children’s school-adaption-behavior of the A type of primary school and the B type of primary school,I founded that:(1)The school-adaption-behavior of migrant children in the A type of primary school is better than that in the B type of primary school,and performanced in both social competence and antisocial behavior; (2)Whether the migrant children in the A type of primary school or in the B type of primary school, Antisocial behavior of girls were significantly less than boys; (3) For the overall trend, social competence are better and antisocial behavior of them are less as the grades get higher and higher,but the antisocial behavior of children are more and more in the B type of primary school; (4) From the social function level degree of the school-adaption-behavior, migrant children who have accepted preschool education have more advantages in school-adaption-behavior; (5) Whether the migrant children in the A type of primary school or in the B type of primary school, migrant children who have better academic performance have higher levels in social competence and lower levels in antisocial behavior; otherwise, migrant children who have worse academic performance have lower levels in social competence and higher levels in antisocial behavior; (6) The fourth grade is a period of significant change in the school-adaption-behavior of migrant children in both the A type of primary school and the B type of primary school.For these conclusions,I recommend the following suggestions:First of all,increasing efforts to support the the A type of primary school,carrying out the "People School Public Assistance" effective model.Secondly, carry out the B type of primary teacher’s training, masterring teaching strategies for migrant children;Thirdly, Strengthen propaganda in pre-school education, improving the early childhood education of migrant children;Lastly, implementing the Mental Health Education, helping migrant children to achieve school adjustment.
