The Senescence Physiolgy and Regulation of Peony and Analysis of Nutrition and Health Components in Petals of Main Varietyis of Peony

This paper sprays different concentration (30mg/L,50mg/L,70mg/L)of Kinetin (KT) to green bud stage of the major ornamental species "Da Fu Gui" of well-known ornamental flowers - herbaceous peony in the natural growth, for spray water as control. Determine and analysis physiological and biochemistry changes of leaves and petals in each treatment group and control group during the whole flowering period, and analyses the relationship between the changes and senescence of petals. The paper also determines part of nutrients, the antioxid ant component and major protective-enzyme activity in petals of five common major species of peony ("Da Hu Hong ", "Feng Dan Bai ", "Zhao Fen ", "Zhu Sha Lei ", "Ri Mu ") and six common major species of herbaceous peony ("Gao Gan Hong ", "Zhu Sha Pan ", "Da Hong Yan ", " Qi Hua Shuang Lu ", "Hong Ling Chi Jin ", "Pan Tuo Rong Hua ") in their flowering stage, to make a preliminary evaluation about nutritional and health value in petals of peony and herbaceous peony. The results showed that:1. During the whole natural florescence of herbaceous peony "Da Fu Gui", the photosynthetic pigments, the content of soluble sugar and soluble protein in leaves continued to increase from early bloom. After KT treatment, the above index of each treatment group is higher than control (CK), and 50mg/L KT has the best effect.2. The herbaceous peony "Da Fu Gui" After KT treatment, during the whole flowering period, in the petals the content of soluble sugar, soluble protein and anthocyanin; the activity of SOD , the DW/FW are higher than CK, the O2- producing speed, the content of MDA , relative electrical conductivity of petals are lower than CK , the most obvious effect is 50mg/L KT.3. From the morphological point to analysis, The herbaceous peony "Da Fu Gui" After KT treatment , the color of flower in petals and leaves is brighter than control , the degree of ornamental is raise, flower longevity delay with 1d.4. The content of anthocyanin in petals of peony and herbaceous peony in their flowering stage are varies by variety, In all the species involved "Ri Mu" has the highest anthocyanin content in petals, which is 6.39μg/g , the content of anthocyanin in Feng Dan Bai is the lowest ,which is 0.26μg/g; in herbaceous peony "Hong Ling Chi Jin" has the highest anthocyanin content in petals, which is 27.47μg/g, " Qi Hua Shuang Lu " is the lowest, which is 0.15μg/g. All varieties of peony and herbaceous peony petals are rich in sugar, protein and ascorbic acid (Vc), and higher SOD activity. The results of the research shows nutrition and antioxidant components in peony and herbaceous peony petals are more abundant, the research has an important significance of food and health research and development.
