Objective: Type 2 diabetes and Northwest dryness syndrome correlation and intervention for research, to provide the scientific basis from the Northwest dryness syndrome of type 2 diabetes prevention and control of xinjiang region. Methods: Using proprietary metrology and clinical epidemiology, according to the method of combining the traditional Chinese medicine theory for etiology and syndrome the comprehensive analysis of the performance, a intervention group 1, Northwest dryness syndrome experience herbs on the treatment, and establish two control groups, three groups are to western medicine treatment, conventional hypoglycemic data analysis and statistical process using Excel and SPSS17.0 statistics software. Results: (1) the xinjiang region type 2 diabetes symptoms include specific; (2) type 2 diabetes symptoms integral each observation group of western medicine classification comparison between therapeutic effect, a statistically significant difference (Ridit analysisχ2 = 38.718, P<0.01). Disease and syndrome treatment group significant efficiency 41.67%, higher than control group disease and syndrome (16.07%) and only disease control group (6.35%), three groups of western medicine symptom scores the difference analysis of covariance, disease and syndrome treatment group mean more than two correction in control group (P<0.01). (3) the observed before and after treatment between groups of TCM syndrome integral poor value analysis of covariance, Yin qi and Yin and hot card, two deficiency syndrome, Yin and Yang deficiency syndrome, hot and humid trapped spleen syndrome, blood stasis syndrome context 5 kinds, all sick card treatment group mean more than two correction in control group (P<0.01). (4) disease and syndrome treatment group and control group two groups of disease and syndrome northwest dry permit grading curative effect, a statistically significant difference compared (χ2= 23.251, P<0.01), disease and syndrome treatment group significant efficiency (27.78%) than the disease and syndrome in the control group (5.36%), the total effective rate, two groups of comparisons difference was statistically significant (χ2= 21.071, P<0.01), disease and syndrome treatment group total effective rate (86.11%) than the disease and syndrome in the control group (37.5%); Disease and syndrome treatment group and control group before and after treatment disease and syndrome intervention Northwest Dryness Syndrome difference between integral covariance analysis, disease and syndrome treatment group correction is greater than the mean disease and syndrome in control group (P<0.01). Conclusion: Xinjiang region type 2 diabetes, a disease is the particularity of the dry throat and mouth dry, thirsty and like drinking and significantly higher than the mainland in injury Yin, on the other hand, a night of urinary frequency and waist pain, waist knees acid cold, the sexual appetite decrease and kidney damage, the degree of Yang symptoms also obvious on the mainland, and the difference just is Northwest Dryness Syndrome disease characteristics.
