With the rapid growth of the number of the horizontal well in our country, the development of the horizontal well tractor is more and more important, for which the structural analyze is one of the key point to be solved. Having the structure analyzed, the ability to cross obstacle of both the parts and the whole is determined, the design principle and using advice of some parts is given. By the modeling and simulation of the tractor, some of the working condition of the tractor is simulated, which improved the vision in the passage.First of all, the structure of centralize component is analyzed, by which the working performance and the principle of spring design is derived. By sorting the obstacle the drag force needed to cross obstacle is analyzed, which derived the principle of equivalent simplification of the wheel motivated tractor component. By this simplification principle the model of the centralizer is build and simulation tested.Second of all, the structure of motivation component is analyzed, the model is built. By load verification, the obstruction situation of the integral key is analyzed, by which the manufacturing and usage suggestion is derived and given. By interference analyze, the stuck of the gear shaped motivation wheel in the oil well gap is discussed, from which derived the design principle of the gear shape and the solution of the stuck of the gear shaped motivation well.At last, the analyze of the ability of the tractor to cross obstacle and simulation test is done. By the discussion of tractor with none-differential-mechanism, discussed the way it influences the ability to across the obstacle, advise to help the operator to get the tract from stuck is also given. By simulation of the tractor in straight oil pipe with obstacle, discussed the working situation of components and the relation between drag force and the force need to cross obstacle. By simulation of tractor crossing corner, exemplified the way to discuss the situation the tractor in arc, and pointed out the ability of the tractor to cross the arc in the oil well.
