Philosophical hermeneutics has post-modern characteristic which rised in west contries in 1970’s, It reflects some questions about the reality of social on the philosophical level. The theory of understanding curriculum draws the understanding idea of Philosophical hermeneutics,and systemically describes curriculum’s concept. As a new curriculum theory, american Phenomenon - Hermeneutics researchers of curriculum have done many jobs on the theory of understanding curriculum, and their great efforts have had an impact on the curriculum practice. Basesed on the pasted research results, This thesis demonstrates the main question-the theory of understanding curriculum combinating with the curruculum practice in the united states.The thesis is divided into four parts:The first part is the introduction: Retrospect the history of the understanding ’s philosophical concept, define the characteristics of the understanding in the philosophical hermeneutics. Based on these, conbinating with the curruculum practices in the united states , this thesis clears that the nature of the curriculum is experience.The second part deals with the basic ideology of philosophical hermeneutics, system functional linguistics, inter-text theory and constructivist psychology.The third part is the core of this thesis , which systemically explors the aims, structure, implement and evaluation of the understanding curriculum. Additionally, this part intergrates to the american curriculum parctice after the 80’s, carried out a combination of theory and practice of argumentation analysis.The forth part is the Practical significance of the understanding curriculum theory, which puts a brief idea of the assessment on the understanding curriculum theory, and discusses the inspiration on our country’s basic education.
