At present,embedded systems are used in a wide range in industrial controls and intelligent home appliances.Security alarm products are more and more intelligent because of embedded systems used in security alarm products.Technology will be development in digital,wireless,and integrated of the former in furture,so designed a security alarm system based on embedded system in this paper.Embedded anti-theft alarm system,by the composition of the host programmable, remote control,a variety of anti-theft detector,and through the local area network to connect the monitoring center of the community to form a wired security network. Once the event,it can report to the alarm information instantly through the telecommunications network to the user’s setting the remote transmission of telephone,cell phone,pager.At the same time report to the control center,control center computer can determine the event address,and timely mobilization of personnel to deal with the event.In this paper,development and research used the 32-bit ARM920T processor s3C2410A as the master chip,embedded LINUX is used as the operating system. This paper elaborate on several points:(1)Study the data transmission characteristics and working principle of GSM MODEM,familiar with the control of AT commands of cat GSM MODEM;analysis of performance indicators and threshold data of smoke,burglar alarms,gas sensors,provided the necessary theoretical basis for the following system design and research.(2)The establishment of hardware development platform,study of the integration functions of ARM processor-based platforms,focused on the ARMS3C2410 processor,its performance is analyzed,and analysis of the design of memory of the processor,research of the application of the serial port of circuit in detail.(3)Use of embedded Linux system as the operating system,further study of Linux system kernel and file system.Study of the bootloader of Linux system In detail,and the compiler and programmer of it;cutting Linux kernel,the compiling and loading linux kernel;compileing and loading file system,configuration of NFS protocol of Linux system;load Linux services,such as the NFS protocol services; Structures for software development platform of system.(4)The software design of data transmission through the serial port of ARM processor and GSM MODEM for;the software design of data transmission betweenARM processor and network monitoring center o.The system achieved the data transmission through network port and serial port for base on Linux system, the system performance tests show that the system meet the design requirements, performance is steady.
