Telecommunications System Based on Ethernet

Presently computer network and telephone communication network and video monitor network was used as network style in many enterprise of our country, which is independence in running.This network style needs much of equipment charges, lines charges, protection and charges and project charges, and effects environment. This paper uses the high bandwidth characteristic of the Ethernet to accomplish the telephone communication system based on Ethernet.The theory of the TCP/IP and ADPCM was first expounded in this paper, and ARP protocol and IP protocol and ICMP protocol and UDP protocol was analyzed also.The System hardware circuit theory scheme is introduced according to design requirement. The terminal hardware circuit including telephone interface circuit and network interface circuit is designed which core is FPGA , and each hardware module is analyzed in detail. Meanwhile, 8051IP core which is embedded in FPGA and other logic design is described in detail.At last, the System terminal communication software is introduced in this paper, and the network protocol is analyzed in detail.Telephone communication network in the corporations is imported to the LAN by this system, syncretism of telephone network and LAN are achieved. By the experiments, all of the functions of normal telephone system can be accomplished in LAN, and also having good quality of voice, better practicability and economy.
