The bursting accident of water pipe is a common problems in water industry, which had sudden ,great harmful, wider influence area and brought serious influence to a city’s production,life and environment. Therefore,today,in the rapid development of the economic society,seeking a cost-effective method of real-time leak detection is important to conservation of water resources,protection of urban water supply security and socio-economic development.The research is mainly about leakage detection and localization in municipality supply network.First of all,the actual state of water resource and leakage in municipal water supply network,and the reason of leakage,and the evolvement of researching on leakage including equipment and the way of leakage detection are introduced. A new leakage detection idea,virtual fields divided, according to the actual state of water networks of our country is put forward.Secondly, the paper expatiated the target,methods and significance of building model and hydraulic simulation of pipe network. To the situation of very little historical materials and date of the accident pipe network, the author introduced a mathematical simulation method of the bursting accident of water pipe and the method provide a accurate,reliable model support for studying on the method of optimization layout for pressure monitoring points of water supply network and building the model of locating of bursting point in pipe network.Third,in general large urban , pressure monitoring points of water supply pipe network layout unreasonable and could not effectively and accurately reflect the running state of the pipe network when the pipe network has bursted.So,a method of optimization layout for pressure monitoring points of water network is put forward . In the method,maximum sensitivity value and sensitivity variance of pressure monitoring points of water supply pipe network as objective function,the model of optimization layout for pressure monitoring points be established,and the results of themodel can be selected to ensure that both the measuring point effective control of accidents squib can lock the greatest degree of regional squib. genetic algorithm is used to search for the optimum combination of the pressure monitoring points. When the collocation of pressure monitoring points is optimized with the traditional genetic operation, the problem which has the defect of duplication of coding will come out. So,the improved algorithm is introduced to solve the problem effectively and the bursting accident of water pipe will be detected quickly.Finally,based on the above-mentioned work,a model of locating of bursting point in pipe network which is combined with the hydraulic model of the bursting network simulation and genetic algorithm is put forward.In the model,the bursting accident simulation of water pipe can solved by updated the waterpower parameters which are leak place and leakage and objective function is known as the least squares about computed or measured value of the pressure monitoring points when the network is bursting. Finally,leak place and leakage of the accident network can be ascertained through genetic algorithm.The research for the municipal pipe network leak detection and control of work provides a practical way,and for the urban water supply systems in the safe operation and management provided the basis and methods of support.
