Objective:To explore the epilepsy activation zone and the variety of default mode network(DMN) of children with continuous spike-waves during slow sleep (CSWS) by using simultaneous electroencephalography-correlated functional magnetic resonance imaging (EEG-fMRI)Method:15 CSWS children’s EEG and rest-state fMRI data were acquired using EEG-fMRI. fMRI data were processed with regional homogeneity method. Individual ReHo maps of each patient were generated. The location of abnormal electrode with the abnormal activation region of ReHo map were compared and to the change of each children DMN was observed.Result:2 of the 15 children’s data were discarded for its head movement beyond correction. Correlation between abnormal electrode and ReHo map of the residual 13 children,8 were good,3 were fine and 2 were irrelevant. The depress extent of DMN in CSWS children variety:6 were obvious,5were middle and 2 were none.Conclusion:The activation zone of CSWS could be specified with EEG-fMRI. The depress extent of DMN in CSWS children variety. Objective To investigate the event-related potentials(ERPs) characteristics of children with electrical status epilepticus during sleep(ESES) while carring on three tasks(learning-recognition GO-NOGO task and Oddball task), to valuate ERPs in learning- recognition task, intelligence ability of memory and response strength electrical status epilepticus during sleeping.Methods 50 children with ESES and 25 healthy children’s ERPs were recorded when they carried on three tasks(learning- recognition task, GO-NOGO task and Oddball task), while intelligence test were also required.Results Compared with control group, ESES group ERPs of three tasks differed with significant meaning(P<0.001), intelligence tests(VIQ, PIQ, FIQ) scores also differed with statistical meaning(P<0.001).Conclusions ERPs can also reflect the cognition, the same as intelligence tests.
