With the rapid development of highway construction, the ecological problems in road area have become increasingly prominent. The longer route, ecosystems through the region are more complicated, the extent range of ecological damage and impact along the road area is greater. Ecological restoration design and the choice of technical measures are the key issues, which are solved urgently in the ecological restoration of road area, the in-depth way to carry out ecological restoration and reconstruction of road area is the realistic need of highway construction.This paper is based on the domestic and abroad theoretical research and practical achievements about ecological restoration of road area, in connection with the current application status of ecological restoration technology of road area, at the same time, which is combined with the actual situation of highway construction in the Yellow River Delta through the comprehensive field investigation and analysis. In this paper, the author firstly probes the ecological restoration design principles and methods of road area in the wetland and proposes vegetation ecological regionalization scheme of road area in the region; secondly, selects appropriate arbors, shrubs, grass and other major species and constructs suitable plant community compositions for slope promotion in the different vegetation divisions; thirdly, makes a comprehensively comparative analysis of the different vegetation establishing technologies applied to road area in the region and puts forward a auxiliary measure of ecological restoration-biological sound barrier; finally, on the basis of three surveys, which include soil improvement effects, slope vegetation restoration effects and driving environmental landscape improvement effects, selects the specific nine indicators and according to the weighted composite index model, works out the indicator system and grading standards of comprehensive evaluation in ecological restoration effects for the Yellow River Delta.This study is able to provide practical reference for making up the deficiency of ecological restoration of road area in the wetland highway, enriching ecological restoration experience of road area in different regions, as well as for further guiding the wetland ecological highway construction, protecting the wetland highway ecological environment of road area, improving the wetland highway ecological quality of road area and promoting the wetland highway ecological balance of road area. All have certain theoretical and practical significance.
