Rational exploitation and utilization of the bauxite resource is an important mean of keeping our national economy and aluminum industry to develop fastly, coordinately, safely and sustainably. The paper takes the mining technology and rock mass mechanics related issues of Duancun-Leigou bauxite under Aluminum Corp. of China as research contents. And the main work was completed by using theoretical analysis and numerical simulation. The contents of the paper included the following aspects:(1) Analyzing the geological conditions and physical mechanic characteristics of rock in Duancun-Leigou mine. Rock mass quality evaluation has been performed by using rock mass quality factor and rock quality indices after geological conditions of mining area and exploitation technology condition were analysied.(2) Putting forward mine draining proposal. By analyzing hydrogeological conditions including main aquifer and aquifuge features, the main reason for water yield of mine and tunnel is given.(3) Studied the laws of ground surface subsidence and rock stratum movement resulting from underground mining by using numerical simulation software FLAC3D, which provides the basis for the underground design of mining method and the optimization ore-pillar parameter.(4) Finally, the underground mining method, equipment and exploitation technology of Duancun-Leigou bauxite is choosed on the basis of different orebody occurrence conditions.
