Expert System, which is composed by knowledge base and inference engine, is one of the most active and the most wide-ranging topics in the field of artificial intelligence application study. Knowledge base is one of cores in the knowledge-based expert system. A knowledge base which has complete knowledge, clear logic and strong independence can significantly improve the performance of the expert system, and enhance its practicality.Knowledge acquisition technology related to many kinds of knowledge systems, such as a large multi-expert coordinate system, a wide range of knowledge representation, object-oriented integrated knowledge base, self-organized problem-solving mechanism, multidisciplinary collaborative problem-solving and parallel reasoning, expert system tools and the environment, artificial neural network mechanism for knowledge acquisition and learning. The key of knowledge acquisition techniques is to maintain consistency, independence and integrity of knowledge base. Integrated object-oriented knowledge base, artificial neural network mechanism for knowledge acquisition and learning technologies have become the mainstream technology of knowledge acquisition of expert system.In this paper, based on the geological expert system study, the knowledge representation system and knowledge acquisition technologies, based on distributed design tools, is studied and designed. At the same time, the related theoretical basis and method of expert system knowledge acquisition technology is systematically expounded.
