China is in a stage of rapid development of urbanization and industrialization , with the rapid development and urbanization increasing levels of socio-economic , the city will be the rapid expansion of the scale of construction land . However, China's urban development , land use efficiency is low quality arable land take up too much around the city is a very serious problem , which is even worse for fewer people and more , the increasing scarcity of arable land resources . Therefore , conservation and intensive use of the land to become the inevitable trend of land use in China . In this paper, draw , draw at home and abroad on urban land intensive use of relevant theory , on the basis of the research methods , from the macro level to define the concept and content of the intensive use of urban land , and 12 provincial cities in Hubei Province as the research object , the establishment of suitable area within the urban land intensive use evaluation index system to the status of the 12 provincial cities in Hubei Province, the land use of intensive evaluation . First , from the point of view of the impact of urban land intensive use , combined with the Hubei Province land use characteristics of the 12 provincial cities and selected social factors , economic factors and ecological factors as the impact Hubei Province 12 urban land intensive use of sub- goals , these three sub- target specific by 18 quantifiable indicators specific to reflect ; then , using the information entropy in the right to re- determine the method to determine each index weight , to standardize and every evaluation index indicator value ; Finally, the use of comprehensive evaluation method calculation of urban land the intensive utilization levels, and to compare the various urban land intensive use level .
