It has become a worldwide topic to search and apply the renewable energy such as solar energy in the case of shortage of non-renewable energy and damage of environment today. Photovoltaic systems have been applied widely because of the benefit to environment. But under the influence of the sunlight intensity and surrounding temperature, the cost of solar array experiments is too high and the cycle of researching and development becomes too long. The solar array simulator can shorten the cycle greatly and improve the efficiency of investigation and reliability of result.In order to improve the application of solar energy, based on the original solar array simulator, make a new set of solar array mathematical and physical model. Check the I-V characteristic curve of this model, contrast to voltage and current characteristic curve of actual solar array, the new set of solar array is more exact.Study the output characteristic of solar simulator, contrast the disadvantages of CVT and MPPT, select the maximum power point tracking system as this paper breakthrough, and study it.This paper selected point difference value comparison as the method of maximum power point tracking. Researching iterative algorithm of comparing different point method, according to the design requirements of solar simulator, simulate and analysis the I-V characteristics curve corresponding to the different ratio coefficient, the final establishment is suitable for solar simulators scheme. The iterative step is contained to be 0.1, and the operating point voltage convergence to be 56.4V.Designing the main circuit of solar simulator, choose DC-DC bridge converter as the main circuit topology, and designing the high-frequency transformer and output filter, calculating accurate ratios of the high-frequency transformer of former and vice edge, and the value of the output filtering inductances and output filter capacitance.Make corresponding solar simulation model, and analysis the results. The stable characteristic and dynamic characteristics all can achieve the expected indicators by validated solar simulator.
