Higher education in China had entered the stage of popularization. With continuous expansion of school size and the leap of enrolled students, the students’ needs have characteristics of diversification, individuation and complication. Implementing the credit system, the classmates are incompletely uniform in their contents, schedule, period, place and space of learning. The temporal and spatial decentralization of educational object put forward new demands and challenges to the traditional student management. It become a complex problem worthy of study that how to make better use of information technology to serve for students education and management.Some problems, such as the shortage of the Full-time counsellor, part-time headteacher being more difficult to guide and manage their students, the data confusion of students management, lower management efficiency, all seriously restrict the student development of Honghe University. In this thesis, the undergraduate portfolio system was developed to study the growth guidance and regular management of undergraduate. The main works and conclusions are as following:First, the undergraduate portfolio system is guided by correlated theoretical practice, integrateing undergraduate management information system and portfolio system, combining with the practical students management, system function module designed based on detailed demand analysis, realized technically through the use of Active Server Page (ASP) technology. Secondly, a questionnaire survey was conducted for the evaluation of multimedia courseware, and analysied by analytic hierarchy process. According to the results of the analysis, the author made a multimedia courseware evaluation criteria which has become one of students’ work evaluation criteria in the undergraduate portfolio system. Finally, the system has applied to College of Engineering students management of Honghe University. Through investigating the teachers and students generally reflected that the system is able to break through time and space constraints, improve the counselor and headteacher management efficiency, strengthen the guidance of individual students, be conducive to the growth of individual students, and effectively alleviate the difficulties of student management.The system made full use of information technology to integrate the undergraduate management information and portfolio system, carried out beneficial exploration for students management, put up a displaying platform of Students’ personality and talent which Promoted the development of Students’ personality. Besides, it provided a reference for the innovation of students management.
