An Empirical Study on How Organizational Design Affects the Tacit Knowledge Transfer

With the development of science and technology, knowledge is becoming more and more important in the economic development, knowledge has replaced land, capital and labor become endogenous variables of economic development, has become a key countries and enterprises to gain competitive advantage. Tacit knowledge as an important part of knowledge, is generally regarded as a core position in the process to obtain a sustainable competitive advantage in the enterprise. Generally agreed that the excavation tacit knowledge of employees, making it the organization's tacit knowledge requires tacit knowledge transfer and sharing enterprise widely. However, it must be noted that the current research focuses on the research of tacit knowledge transfer process and influencing factors, to study how to facilitate the transfer of tacit knowledge has not been the attention of scholars from the formal organizational design perspective. In this context, we adopt the methods of empirical research, learn from their predecessors the basis of existing research results, start from the organizational level of the individual research organizations design tacit knowledge transfer. First, through the analysis, constructed the integrated model combining the tacit knowledge transfer process and pass the influencing factors, respectively, defined four transfer processes and four aspects influencing factors, and specific analysis of the four aspects of the impact of factors affect the entire tacit knowledge transfer process. Then, the article through the analysis of the dimensions of organizational design, draw the structural, control, and coordination of the three major dimensions variable specific analysis of the relationship between various dimensions of tacit knowledge transfer factors, assumptions provide the basis for the next step. Finally, the establishment of organizational design dimensions, the conceptual model and the tacit knowledge transfer factors and transfer effects hypothesized empirical analysis of conceptual models and assumptions based on the conceptual model, the use of a variety of analytical methods to draw the conclusions of this study. The conclusions of this study show that: 1. Organizational design dimension of tacit knowledge transfer is more significant, such as coordination and decentralization, the impact of the factors influencing knowledge transfer will be conducive to the conduct of knowledge transfer. Assumptions about the division of the degree of normative organizational incentive and IT is no empirical support for further theoretical and empirical examination. Effect of the influencing factors of tacit knowledge to tacit knowledge transfer in enterprises and other organizations, has been widely validated, but this article found through empirical research university graduate groups, university student groups tacit knowledge exchange and transmission mechanism need further analysis to find out the difference with other organizations. . Maturity scale used to analyze organizational design of each dimension of tacit knowledge transfer, the paper made a useful attempt, but the empirical conclusion Scale is not ideal.
