In order to further improve flexibility of the test and control system, a novel technology named LXI which was promoted both by traditional technology and network communications technologies appears at the beginning of 21st century. LXI, which integrated the ease use of GPIB, high performance and small size of VXI and the flexibility as well as high throughput capacity of Ethernet into the instrument, is now regarded as the new generation of modularized automatic test instrument platform based on Ethernet technology. It has been developing rapidly because of its tremendous potential in distributed measurement and applications of hybrid instruments. This thesis describes the LXI Web interface equipment and network configuration software after studying LXI standards and related technical specifications. The results of research on this subject are universal and of great significance on LXI instruments development.LAN configuration is the basis of utilizing LXI instruments’ advantages. This thesis realizes LAN configuration initialization and network state monitoring of LXI instruments using C programming language, including storing users’ configuration information, configuring IP automatically and manually; detecting duplicate IP, etc. LAN initialization and network monitoring procedures are programmed to achieve specific implementation of LAN configuration of LXI instruments.Web control method is a user interface required by LXI instrument which can operate instrument by viewing device information for users. Based on the comparison of the various Web server, this thesis chooses Boa as the embedded Web server, gives the transplant and configuration method, and makes client pages of modules using HTML, JavaScript and Java Applet, and gives the writing method of Server-side CGI process.LXI instrument currently use VXI-11 specification, which is based on SUN-RPC technology, for discovery and identification. On the basis of introducing the VXI-11 specification and basic principles of SUN-RPC, this thesis gives the transplant process of port mapping, and the realization of RPC server-side procedures, thus implements the discovery and identification function of LXI instruments.Finally, the thesis introduces development environment and debugging process on embedded systems, and describes the designing process of the Web interface and the testing methods of DHCP, instrument discovery and identification functions in detail with LXI 64 Channel Relay module as an example.
