More and more modern electronic system faces the problem of transmitting and processing mass high-speed data flow. In many fields, design and application of high-speed data acquisition system is necessary to acquire lots of data in a short time. Data acquisition board is the key technique in a data acquisition system.Using of high-speed signals and complex devices brings rigid requirement for the designing of high-speed PCB. With the increasing frequency of signal, problems such as propagation delay, reflection, crosstalk, and EMI which were not emphasized enough in the past has becoming more critical. The problem caused by some factors such as parameters of devices and PCB, layout of devices on PCB and trace of high-speed signal, etc. These result the system operated on an unstable situation.This paper introduces the problem of signal integrity in high-speed circuit designing, and discusses the correlative problem as reflection, crosstalk and power integrity. Take the virtue of Cadence’s EDA software, we simulate the critical high-speed signal’s corresponding waveform. As discussed above, we have designed a high-speed DAQ board based on signal integrity analysis theory which achieved 212MSPS acquisition rate, and it works properly and has steady performance in first version. To conclude, using proper EDA software and choosing the design technology based on signal integrity analysis can shorten the researching period and saving cost, at the same time, it proved that the method is useful and necessary to high-speed circuit designing.
