With the continuous expansion of the urban population , the rapid development of urbanization and motorization , urban traffic congestion problems become more apparent . Alleviate this contradiction has become a consensus to develop public transport , bus priority in many of our cities is an inevitable choice to solve the traffic problems . The text is divided into five chapters , in which the second , third , four chapters is a core part of the thesis . Articles bus traffic to the road network as the object of study , conventional bus system and bus rapid transit system proposed control method , a more detailed elaboration of the bus signal priority ; second is the signal for conventional bus system priority to the use of artificial neural network to predict bus travel time , can more accurately predict bus traveling to the phase of the intersection and delays theoretical application of multiple phase bus signal priority discriminate on the basis of previous studies , further deepen the study of the conventional bus signal priority , signal priority to control the accuracy of the model is higher ; different control methods and control parameters calculation method according to the presence or absence of a conventional bus rapid transit signal priority system , and the actual consistent ; VISSIM simulation software as the evaluation indicators the intersection per capita delay simulation algorithm of this paper , and come to a variation of the various control methods applicable , as well as a variety of control modes intersection characteristics .
