The electric locomotive is an important means of delivery, to ensure that its security is essential. Electrical system as an important component of the electric locomotive, when the electrical system is not working properly, it may lead to electric locomotives can not operate normally. If the locomotive electrical system failure, you should be able to quickly and precisely diagnose fault parts or components, in order to ensure the safety of the trains run on time, to meet the basic needs of the masses of the people. At present, China's electric locomotive has limited diagnostic capabilities. To this end, the electric locomotive electrical system fault diagnosis technology research is of great significance. In this thesis, a brief overview of fault diagnostic technology development status of rolling stock at home and abroad, to predict the locomotive fault diagnosis technology trends. Second, analysis of the similarities and differences of the classic expert system with fault diagnosis expert system, and compare the advantages and disadvantages of several common fault diagnosis expert system, the final choice of the electric locomotive electrical system diagnostics Fault Diagnosis Expert System Based on Fault Tree. Then, this article focuses on how to build fault diagnosis expert system based on fault tree, the main contents include: SS8 electric locomotive fault tree is established based on the fault tree of knowledge acquisition, knowledge representation, based on the ACCESS database technology knowledge and fault tree Storage. The inference engine module design using the forward reasoning heuristic search control strategies, and introduces the concept of rules is important degree to realize that the rules match. This paper, through the control circuit SS8 electric locomotive, traction transformers, main converter, such as conduct in-depth research and analysis, and exchange of experts in the field, summed up the fault tree. Finally, research and analysis on the basis of the above theory, describes the use of the electric locomotive developed by the the Visual Studio2005 software development platform fault diagnosis expert system, the successful separation of the knowledge base and the inference engine software. Rules and other functions are obtained automatically from the fault tree. The entire system is simple, experimental testing show that the system has the reasoning, high efficiency, stable, reliable. Paper the main results are as follows: (1) Construction of the SS8 electric locomotive failure of most of the fault tree; (2) The design of the electric locomotive fault diagnosis expert system based on fault tree, and the introduction of the concept of the rule important degree; (3) development of the SS8 electric locomotive fault diagnosis expert system software.
